Los Angeles, CA - Southern California's LGBT publication of record, Frontiers magazine, partners up with the city of West Hollywood for the second annual Go-Go Dancer Appreciation Day Festival & Competition on Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m.

Frontiers has launched a competition at FrontiersLA.com/GoGo for readers to vote for their favorite L.A.-area go-go dancer. The seven finalists (of 14) who receive the most votes will move on to perform live at the festival.

The judges and live audience will choose the winner and runner-up. The dancer with the most votes wins a trip to Palm Springs and the opportunity to grace the magazine's cover!

"Once again, the crme de la crme of L.A.'s go-go dancers are gathering to highlight the dynamic gay nightlife scene in Los Angeles, celebrate its community and have some fun," says Vic Gerami, Frontiers Advertising Director.

Last year's winner of the first annual Go-Go Dancer Competition, the duo Steven & Montana, appeared on the cover of the magazine's holiday issue.

Following the festival and competition, Frontiers will host an official after-party at Micky's, beginning at 10:30 p.m.

Also in conjunction with West Hollywood's Go-Go Dancer Appreciation Day, AIDS Healthcare Foundation will be conducting free one-minute HIV testing in their mobile clinic on Oct. 27 at Larrabee Street and Santa Monica Boulevard. Individuals who get tested will be eligible to win free tickets to LASC's Halloween rooftop party sponsored by AHF Pharmacies.

The campaign launches in the Oct. 1 issue of Frontiers and runs consecutively with an online promotion, email blasts and a voting page found at FrontiersLA.com/GoGo. Users must register with their name and email to vote and can only cast one vote per day.

To increase involvement, readers and fans are being directed to vote for their favorite L.A. go-go dancer via QR codes printed in the magazine and on Facebook. Club promoters, nightclubs and the contestants themselves will be promoting the contest via their websites and social networking sites such as Facebook.

This year's presenting sponsor is Gold's Gym.
