Winter Rendezvous Celebrates 29th Year

Winter Rendezvous, the largest LGBT ski event on the East Coast, celebrates its 29th year this month.

This fun ski-filled event will take place Wednesday, Jan. 23 through Sunday, Jan. 27 at one of the most beautiful ski resorts in the country, Stowe Mountain Resort. The official host hotel is the Stoweflake Resort and Spa.

In addition, it was announced this week that Winter Rendezvous is donating $1,000.00 to the Stowe High School Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) to help fund the project.

The event attracts hundreds of GLBT skiers and boarders to Stowe each year and offers a diverse lineup of activities, parties and entertainment. It features five days of skiing, snowboarding, on two different mountains Mt Mansfield and Spruce Peak, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and dog sledding on the world class trails of the Trapp Family Lodge, the official Nordic Center of Winter Rendezvous 2013.

Ski all day party all night, entertainment includes: apr�s-ski, wine tastings, giant indoor pool party, "Sound of Music" sing-a-long at the Von Trapp Family Lodge, and on mountain Pizza Party.

There will be a Comedy Showcase with Jim Lauletta and guests, a kick-off party, live performances by Dina Martina and the b-Side Charlie Band as well as a special appearance from Vermont's own House of Lemay. From Boston comes DJ Harrison with Back2basic disco dance party; and direct from the Crown & Anchor in Provincetown, MA are the sounds of DJ Steve Marsden at the final blowout party.

They'll be something for everyone, skiers and non-skiers, at Winter Rendezvous 2013.
